Job Title: Nurse - PRN

Summary: Support students in a nursing capacity on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of basic healthcare within the school and district providing medication administration, first aide and appropriate care for medically fragile and ill students.

Responsible for implementation of medication, seizure plans, etc.

Reports cases of suspected child abuse and neglect immediately to ensure compliance with all laws.

Involved in and support intervention strategies; medical, academic and behavioral.

Supports and upholds school and ECWR policy and procedures.

Complete forms necessary for the quality operation of education relating to the area of responsibility.

Education/Experience & Certification: A current Ohio Nursing License is required. School experience is preferred.

Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee is frequently able to perform holds up to 100 pounds and one - two person lifts, as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Peripheral vision. While performing the duties of their job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit; bend; twist; and squat. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 - Criminal Records Check.

Drug Testing: Must pass a drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
