We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Supervisor Outpatient to join our team. The Clinical Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing the outpatient clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

Work Schedule:

Full time, Day shift 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

The Clinical Supervisor-Outpatient

is responsible for the administration and application of all clinical nursing functions, procedures and protocols. Supervises of clinical operations, direct patient care, and patient education. Coordinates and facilitates patient care progression throughout the healthcare continuum. Works collaboratively and maintains active communication with physicians, nursing staff and other team members of the primary care team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists clinical staff on the provision of safe therapeutic primary care and education.Supervises clinical operations, direct patient care, and patient education.Oversees the implementation of appropriate departmental plans to attain desired outcomes and meet team goals within projected time frames.Manages, supervises, and facilitates the hiring, development, and evaluation of staff; manages employee relations and performance concerns.Oversees the day-to-day tasks/activities in the department.Demonstrates leadership traits and supports behavioral competencies.Actively involved in clinical day-to-day supervision, employee relations and staff development.Actively participates in clinical performance improvement activities.Utilizes standards, guidelines, policies, procedures and clinical pathways for delivery of care.Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes.Utilizes the quality process and best practices to improve clinical operations.Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.Provides supervision to team members on communication skills, techniques and documentation.Adheres to and implements all Virginia State Board of Nursing Regulatory requirements.Requirements:

Experience:1 year of Nursing or related healthcare experience. Experience as a Registered Nurse preferredSupervisory experience preferredEducation: Vocational/Technical in nursing. Preferred education: Associate's degree in nursing..BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required upon start.Licensure: LPN. Preferred: VA RN license upon start.
