Duties- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients based on their medical conditions and needs.- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on medication use, potential side effects, and precautions.- Perform procedures such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical interventions.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare decisions and treatment options.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.- Strong knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures.- Experience in public health, triage, or emergency medicine is preferred.- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic.- Familiarity with senior care, family planning, IV infusion, esthetic laser treatment, discharge planning, clinical research, and nursing home settings is a plus.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
