Job SummaryWe are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy treatment programs for patients with injuries or diseases affecting daily functioning. The position may involve working with patients in inpatient, outpatient, or home care settings.Core Job ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments on patients of all ages, establishing long and short term goals and treatment plans.Implement treatment using various occupational therapy procedures and techniques, observing and evaluating treatment effects and updating plans as needed.Formulate discharge and follow-up plans, provide patient education, and recommend adaptive equipment and home adaptations.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure patient safety and therapist safety.Stay current with occupational therapy trends and best practices.Assist with orientation of new staff members and provide clinical supervision to related staff.Education/Experience RequirementsRequired:Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.Ability to travel to other worksites within the region.Licensure/Certification RequirementsRequired:NYS license as an Occupational Therapist.Current BLS Certification.DisclaimerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their age, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or disability.
