Senior Commercial Lending Executive

Summary

Directs and monitors sales and service goals for the assigned commercial lending area. Prospects, calls on and analyzes larger and more complex business banking prospects and clients, while simultaneously makes qualified referrals to trust, mortgage and retail business lines. Coaches and provides leadership opportunities to a lending team. Coordinates with Credit Dept to prepare loan term sheets and formal presentation packages for presentation to management and loan committees. Makes specific lending (terms and conditions) or, adverse action recommendations, using our product and servicing offerings and policy guidelines, to commercial lending management. Individual loan authority is granted, per policy.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or equivalent experience required. Experience leading and directing a sales team is expected. Strong sales acumen. is a must. Excel, Word and related software program experience is extremely helpful. Outstanding written and oral communications history and ability are essential. Proven ability to assemble and manage a new business pipeline of prospective and current clients is a must.

Primary Activities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)• Build and maintain lists of potential commercial loan "suspects", "prospects" and existing customer (retention and new business) call lists.• Make individual, joint (with commercial lending mgt) calls to gain new and maintain existing business.• Prepare initial analysis of loan prospects and existing clients, including but not limited to cash flow, collateral and management capacity through receipt of all appropriate financial information and other due diligence information.• Lead the relationship development of the client, with assistance, as needed from commercial loan management and credit department to then further develop deal structure, terms sheets and loan presentations.• Manage an initial portfolio of clients, including financial statement procurement, file maintenance and any collections efforts.• Ensure that Problem loans and Problem customers are moved or referred to the Special Assets Officer• Construct and maintain relationship development plan of product and service needs, for larger and more complex commercial banking customers and prospects.
