Summary:

An investment team within the Neuberger Berman Private Asset Management division is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to support its investment strategies specializing in high net worth, institutional separate accounts, and a closed-end mutual fund. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional investment strategies tailored to our clients’ needs. We focus on publicly traded energy infrastructure companies, leveraging our expertise and industry insights to deliver superior returns. The Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies within the energy infrastructure sector, providing valuable insights to support our investment decisions. The Equity Analyst will work closely with a team of portfolio managers, will be an integral part of our team, and will have a direct impact on the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive fundamental research on companies in the energy sector including but not limited to midstream service providers, utilities, and renewable energy companies

Monitor and evaluate existing portfolio holdings, identifying opportunities and risks

Generate new investment ideas – prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal discussions with portfolio managers

Build and maintain financial models; integrate those models into the team’s valuation framework and research management system

Collaborate with portfolio managers, research analysts, and other team members to contribute to the overall investment process

Build and maintain relationships with company management teams, and travel as needed to attend investment conferences

Participate in team business initiatives

Qualifications:

1-4 years of experience in financial analysis required

Knowledge of the energy sector is preferred

Ability to articulate a clear and concise investment recommendation

Highly organized with ability to multi-task

Proficient with advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

Self-motivated, curious, and intellectually honest with a demonstrated interest in equity markets

Must be a team player and have a desire to learn about and work on all facets of our business

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$125,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
