A highly regarded business law firm is seeking an emerging associate attorney to join their recognized practice. We are searching for an associate attorney with a strong background in civil defense litigation and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, and experience with insurance defense, general liability, and/or workers compensation litigation. Associate attorneys enjoy an open and collaborative office, delivering solutions to issues involving business organization, corporate growth, and risk management.
Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolMember and in good standing of the Illinois State Bar (WI bar is a plus)2-5 years of litigation experience in civil defense, preferably insurance defense, liability, and/or workers compensation and subrogationExperience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiationHighly skilled in drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondenceSuperior written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficientlyOutstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategicallyTrial experience is welcome, but not a requirementBenefits:
