We are looking to hire a

Registered Nurse

for our

Surgical Short Stay Unit

in Boise. This unit offers unique growth opportunities including cross training to PACU as well as SPAR. This is a 24-48 hour discharge unit and the team is supportive, positive, and offers exceptional patient care!

This position will be located at our Level II Trauma Center (https://www.saintalphonsus.org/location/saint-alphonsus-regional-medical-center) off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

Three 12-hour shifts 1900-0730.

As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you provide hands-on patient care while collaborating with colleagues, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing resources wisely. You serve as a patient advocate by promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. You also educate patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and develop care plans based on patient needs.

About this Position

: RNs working on the Transitional Observation Unit will care for patients who need additional observation to rule out chest pains or outpatient status patients. It is a fast-paced, independent work environment with strong leadership and great opportunities for career growth and advanced training. Our ideal candidate is adaptive to change, invested in self-driven learning, and a team player.

License/Certification:

A current RN license is required.

Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.

At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)

ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS within 12 months of hire.
