We are seeking an experienced

Property Manager

for our 40 Unit-Residential property located in New York.

Applicants must have HUD and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience* . The

Property Manager

will be responsible, under the direction of the Regional Manager, for the overall management of site operations and supervision of maintenance of the physical property. Above all else, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members will not only improve the job you do but enhance the entire work experience. This property has an ASL Translating program onsite.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collect rent and maintain computer records; Follow-up delinquent accounts and pursue collections in accordance with established proceduresMonitor expenses to ensure spending is within guidelinesMaintain tenant files and related documentation regarding continuing eligibility and adjustmentsShow vacant apartments utilizing professional marketing proceduresAddress resident concerns in a professional mannerHire, train, and supervise site staff and oversee overall maintenance of the propertyConduct property inspectionsComplete income verification to ensure eligibility with government regulationsHandle the financial operations of the propertiesKnowledge of Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") rules and regulationsKnowledge of laws and standards that apply to property management, such as Fair Housing Laws, Landlord-Tenant Laws, OSHA Standards, local and state building codesQualifications for this position

Knowledge of project-based section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programsHigh school education or equivalentMust have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Three+ years of multi-family residential management experience - minimum two years of affordable housing experienceAbility to work independently, organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize projectsMust have experience in Section 8 voucher submission, tax-creditExperience with RealPage OneSite or similar property management softwareExcellent communication skills; verbal and writtenLIHTC Certification, preferred
