This person will be responsible for managing assurance engagements, with minimum oversight by Partner. Be an active role model and leader for staff to emulate. Meet billable hours requirement.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate various planning phases of engagements and ensure work in on scheduleGenerate budgetsMaintain profitable realization ratesReview and evaluate work papers, and determine compliance with professional standards and firm policyReview reports and financial statementsReview with the engagement partner significant findings that raise questions involving auditing standards and firm policyManage risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executedBe involved in practice development and supervision of multiple engagementsAssume responsibility for billing and collections when circumstances permitDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with client managementProvide on-the-job training to subordinatesGenerate new business annually for new and existing clientsRepresent the firm by presenting on areas of expertise at 3rd party eventsEffectively manage employee and client expectationsComplete performance evaluations constructively and timely, and also provide ongoing performance feedback to employeesMaintain required annual CPEs

QualificationsMBS/BS/MS in Accounting from an accredited college or university (minimum of 150 college credits)Must be a licensed CPA or desire to get CPA7-11 years of relevant experience5 - 7 years experience supervising and coaching staffExperience with municipalities is a plusAdvanced knowledge of generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Tax Law KnowledgeHybrid work schedule requires to be in the office/client location minimally 3 days per week#LI-RD2Marcum LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer
