Position is Full TIme Monday-Friday 830a-5p.
CDL Preferred, not required.
The Chauffeur at The Osborn is responsible for the safe transportation of residents, in Osborn vehicles, to specific pre-determined destinations. Resident safety is the primary concern while working. All vehicles must be maintained in roadworthy condition.
Position Duties Include: • Inspecting vehicle for potential maintenance issues; • Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles; • Bringing vehicle in for inspections and repairs • Checking vehicle regularly for proper oil level • Checking water, gas, and tire pressure levels • Inspecting lights, wipers, horn, tires, etc.; • Maintaining vehicle accessories to make traveling safe and comfortable such as ice scrapers, umbrellas, etc.
Ideal Candidate has: • Thorough knowledge of motor vehicle regulations and laws • Ability to respond to emergencies • Comfortable with smartphone use and applications for transportation scheduling. • Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly; prior experience working with older adults a plus • Knowledge of policies regarding transportation of handicapped persons • Good verbal communication skills
