The VP & COO oversees program-related operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with the organization's strategic vision. This role involves developing operational strategies for facilities management, risk and compliance, research and evaluation, program development, strategic implementation, project management, and administrative affairs. The COO provides data and strategic insights to the President, CEO, and Board of Trustees.Essential Responsibilities:Operations Leadership:
Develop and implement operational policies, promote continuous improvement, lead strategic plan execution, optimize processes, define roles, and ensure reporting excellence. Oversee risk and compliance functions, consult with legal counsel as needed, and monitor KPIs to ensure consistent improvement.Program Development:
Oversee the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, manage budgets, utilize data for decision-making, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and leadership to the Facilities Department to ensure optimal operation of all facilities.Team Development:
Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer, contribute to the executive team, mentor department leaders, provide performance feedback, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.Operational Efficiency:
Collaborate with Team Services to leverage internal resources for improving operational efficiencies and incorporate feedback from department leaders into ongoing and upcoming operations statewide.Cultural Promotion:
Foster the organizational culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning and development, and promote cohesion across teams with clear and transparent communication.Mission Alignment:
Ensure leadership and their teams are knowledgeable about the mission, strategic path, and best practices, while adhering to organizational and professional standards and objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, management, or related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.Minimum ten years of progressive management experience, preferably in operations management.Strong background in leading cross-functional teams, strategic plan execution, and change management.Experience in youth development or social services programs preferred.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects.Experience with non-profit organizations and mission work preferred.Proficiency with Mac products, Business Intelligence tools, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to interact effectively with youth, community partners, and multi-disciplinary teams.Respect for and appreciation of Hawaiian values, history, and culture.Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel across the island, inter-island, and out-of-state as needed.Compensation:
$250,000 - $280,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience and budget approved.Location:
Honolulu. In office only.
