Interventional Spine /Pain Management Physiatrist - Rusk Rehabilitation

NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation is seeking a fellowship trained interventional spine/pain physiatrist to join the Rusk Rehabilitation care team.
The successful candidate will have expertise in the areas of pain management services and will work to maintain and grow rehabilitation medicine pain management programs and services in the health system. Work collaboratively with Anesthesia, Psychiatry, Orthopedic Surgery and Neurosurgery (spine) to enhance peri-operative pain services as well identify and implement coordinated pain management services through the System. Weekend call responsibility and participation in quality improvement projects is required.
The responsibilities of a board-certified pain physiatrist would include: ambulatory pain and interventional procedures, peri-operative pain management including follow up, management of chronic pain (including post-operative pain issues, unresolved pain and pain medication tapers).
Candidates must be Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship trained in Spine and/or Pain Medicine. A current, active and unrestricted Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in NY and current DEA License will be required upon assuming the position. All candidates should have demonstrated interests in academics, research and teaching residents, students and fellows.
Salary range: $235,000 - $240,000.The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
