Full Time Monday - Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The UW Medicine Treasury Reporting Analyst has primary accountability for University of Washington Treasury reporting on behalf of UW Medicine. This includes, but is not limited to, routine and ad hoc compliance reporting to both internal and external stakeholders around reporting commitments, cash forecasting and cash variations. In addition, this individual will take a lead role in the further development / troubleshooting / optimization of cash and investment forecasting and reporting tools, leveraging available Workday and UW Medicine data warehouse resources.
Further, this individual will play a key role in ensuring adequate, trained, in-house coverage for critical Financial Reporting activities for UW Medicine. Under the direction of the Controller and Director of Financial Reporting, this position will cross-train and collaborate with colleagues within Financial Reporting to ensure service to the Health System is uninterrupted and delivered in a consistently high quality manner.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
UW Medicine Cash and Treasury Reporting
Financial Reporting Analyst Coverage
Participate in and support the accounting department's efforts related to business process design and improvementas well as technology streamlining and increased efficiencies for end users
Prepare and present written and verbal reports to management and staff as requested
Serves as a UW Medicine Finance representative on committees, task forces and other initiatives where appropriate REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Four years’ experience accounting operations, including financial reporting and month-end close
Highly organized; demonstrated ability to run a process involving multiple stakeholders across a wide range ofdisciplines, ensuring adherence to policies around approvals, testing, documentation and communication
Demonstrated ability to delve into new subject areas and quickly understand the fundamentals
Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and productivity, navigating anyreporting data domain or subject area
Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Workday, Oracle or otherOR
