The Team Lead Collateral Analyst will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and analysis of large datasets and management reports to support collateral operations. Serves as initial point of contact, and subject matter expert, on escalations, special projects, initiatives, and junior team member support. Interfaces with management, team members, investors, custodians, and vendors to achieve operational goals and objectives. Monitors team activity to proactively identify production progress, operational opportunities, and collateral related remediation efforts. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and all US states and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 an hour.
What you do:
Serve as the first level of escalation for matters requiring resolution.
Responsible for analyzing issues, proactively identifying solutions, and ensuring timely resolutions.
Proactively serve to improve processes, strategies, and execution of day-to-day operations of collateral analysts.
Establish goals, deadlines, and monitor team progress against deadlines.
Train and mentor junior level staff as needed.
Proactively initiate, lead, participate in, and monitor department initiatives and special projects as a subject matter expert.
Work in conjunction with team members, custodians, management, and various stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and comprehensive support to clear collateral scheduled to be initial certified, final certified, recertified, and / or transactions that remove loans from pools.
Independently resolve and/or correct exceptions related to missing, incorrect, unrecorded, illegible, damaged, or otherwise unusable documents required in a mortgage collateral file.
Serve as a key point of contact for management, team members, stakeholders, and affiliates.
Perform daily preparation, analysis, and monitoring of data relating to production, pipeline movement, projects, business process, collateral status, and inventory.
Generate, monitor, and analyze reporting of collateral file movement and collateral exceptions.
Conduct data querying, manipulation, transformation, and analysis of large datasets.
Ensure service standards, policies, procedures and are adhered to and client needs are met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Apply a high degree of proactive resourcefulness to satisfy exceptions through various forms of documentation and/or data, within a specified timeframe.
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience.
Four (4) to six (6) years of mortgage collateral document experience.
