West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology

seek an abdominal radiologist. (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

The WVU Department of Radiology sees a variety of complex cases as we are a top referral center in WV and the region. We offer a collegial and engaging environment at WVU with ample opportunity for case collaboration with referring services. The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center has a full complement of academic programs in the clinical and basic sciences. Ample opportunities exist for clinical research.

Digital imaging via a FUJI PACS system with Epic and Powerscribe.GE Logiq E10 offering Elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.MRI and CT imaging with multiple scanners, including multiple 3T MRI and 320 slice CT scanners.Specialized abdominal and pelvic MRI protocols (liver mass, renal mass, MRCP, multiparametric prostate, gynecologic, rectal mass, etc.) Constantly adding new sequences and research protocols.Responsible for abdominal rotations such as CT, MR, US and fluoro.Multidisciplinary GI, GU and Gyn tumor boards.8am - 4pm shiftOpportunity for additional income through reading overnightEmployer-contributed 401(a)Competitive salaryDependent Tuition Program

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of abdominal radiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed radiology residency program, as well as abdominal radiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Radiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
