The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations Support is responsible for managing the execution of various processes and activities that support meetings and events, sales operations, and training. This incumbent will work with the organization’s meeting and event planning partners as well as independently to manage a variety of programs and activities. This incumbent must have the ability to adapt quickly to the budgeting, contracting, planning and financial processes associated with meetings and events while also providing ongoing support to Sales Operations and Training. This incumbent will provide counsel, promote cost savings initiatives, and ensure all activities follow a consistent and standardized approach while adhering to all internal and external compliance guidelines.
Responsibilities
Manages commercial team meetings, sales operations, and training calendars and works with headquarters (HQ) stakeholders to ensure alignment and scheduling in the master calendar.
Manages venue/vendor searches to ensure all service agreements and contracts are reviewed, approved, and within company guidelines and works with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to coordinate and support annual conferences and conventions where HQ- field-based personnel attend and/or exhibit.
Develops and manages a comprehensive budget for each meeting and ensures it’s approved and effectively executed with final costs and savings documented.
Works with internal stakeholders to identify all attendee-facing content at meetings (e.g., registration websites; agendas; signage; meeting space; attendee badges; travel details; and other elements as needed based on meeting type) and manages the accurate design, development and deployment with third-party partners.
Plans and conducts regular planning meetings for Commercial Operations, Training, and Sales Operations and ensures effective communication between all stakeholders.
Leads all third-party partner meetings to ensure consistency and operational excellence (third-party partners include event planning and management; website registration design and deployment; meeting venues; warehousing/distribution centers etc.).
Drives execution of meeting logistics from inception through completion, including onsite management of training meetings, leadership meetings, launch meetings, and regional/national meetings.
Coordinates all logistics for new hire training for field teams and all field-based team committees that support HQ (e.g., Field Trainers, Compliance, Communications, etc.), including the confirmation of travel availability for new and tenured team members, sending applicable meeting invites/reminders, and shipment of necessary new hire/existing materials as needed.
Manages and works with senior leadership and third-party partners to coordinate and execute annual sales award & recognition events (third-party partners include event planning and management; location venues; employee recognition agencies; and on-site activity planners/service providers).
Manages recognition program budget and reporting for all HQ and field-based employees and works with stakeholders to ensure alignment/compliant utilization across the organization.
Manages timely invoice and expense processing while working with Payroll and Finance as needed to track spend and ensure all reporting is accurate and complete.
Support HQ as needed with ad hoc meetings and event support as needed/requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 7+ years relevant business experience to include meeting planning, sales operations, and training support
Working knowledge and understanding of the pharma industry
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in budget management, contract negotiation, and reporting
Outstanding interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage others in collaborative initiatives
Excellent analytical, investigative, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent time and project management skills
Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through

The salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
