Executive Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics

The Executive Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics is a critical role in furthering the development, refinement, and measurement of Kiniksa's commercial strategy for our marketed product, ARCALYST, as well as for the emerging pipeline. The person in this role will manage a team responsible for US & Global Market Research, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, KPI Dashboarding, Brand Performance Reporting, and Advanced Analytics. Ultimately, this role must be adept at uncovering strategic insights through a variety of data sources and methodologies, and must be able to drive organizational understanding of, and action based on, these insights to positively affect business results. This position reports to the GVP, Commercial Operations and will work closely with members of Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Value & Access, Patient Services, and Medical.

This role is based in our Lexington office. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Drive robust delivery on commercial services related to: Primary and Secondary Market Research, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Business Intelligence & Reporting, and Advanced AnalyticsHire, develop, and retain the top talent within the Insights and Analytics functionLead and drive a thought partnership with brand teams, global, and cross-functional partners to understand and address key business questionsStrategically prioritize and drive forward insights and analytics priorities considering business need, resourcing, and expected impactPartner with team members to bring forward innovative analytics & market research techniques and to automate analytics so that they are standardized and performed in near real-timeRealize potential of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence in driving forward opportunities to drive brand performance through improved targeting, patient finding, and patient risk stratificationDevelop deep understanding of Kiniksa data model, and partner IT team to ensure commercial data infrastructure supports analytics objectivesPartner with other Commercial Operations leaders to establish and adhere to a robust Data Governance model to ensure a single source of truth in term of metrics and KPIsDrive to high quality deliverables ensuring high degree of accuracy of analysis and strength of insightsPartner with insights team and cross functional partners to deliver on commercial assessments for future indications and BD initiatives, and develop and execute on foundational insights generation plan as pipeline therapies progress in developmentReview and refine forecast models with aim of improving accuracy over timeEnsure successful agency/vendor partnerships and manage Insights and Analytics budgetProduce and deliver executive-level presentationsBe a thought leader in support of ex-US commercialization, providing insights and forecasting support to partners in global marketsQualifications:

Requires a BA or BS (MS or MBA preferred) with 10+ years of data analysis, decision support, market research, and forecasting experience.Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience requiredRequires prior experience in successfully developing and executing strategy through expert understanding of the market and industry.Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.Expert knowledge in capturing relevant information systematically, analyzing statistical data and identifying key issues patterns and trends.Working knowledge of AWS, SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau is preferredStrong command of analytical and market research techniques and experience with selection and management of vendorsExperience building and maintaining complex market assessments and forecast modelsAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced growth environmentAbility to create and communicate a clear vision among direct reports, effectively aligning resources and motivating teams to achieve goals.Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills--able to explain complex concepts clearly to executive audiencesStrong commitment to compliance and ethical standardsAbility to travel approximately 20% of the time both domestically and internationally.
