Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this person will be responsible for scheduling and ERP System operation to ensure the plant's safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals are met.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.What you'll do:Drive the proper operation of the plant ERP System; expected to be the SME for all end users in the facility.Develop, plan, and execute the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand.Manage and report inventory performance and record accuracy.Own the order flow between all outside processors to ensure that proper lead times are being met and invoices are being processed.Track finished good stocking levels across all Regional Distribution CentersEnsure smooth and efficient workflow between production and distribution.Analyze lead times with operations and supply chain to ensure schedule accuracy.Partner with the Project Management and Development teams to ensure all relevant launch and development work is scheduled, and necessary adjustments are made, to maximize efficiency and schedule adherence.Work closely with Purchasing to analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability while minimizing inventory levels and cost.Maintain the Master Production schedule for Month, Quarter, and Year. Track changes and impacts to be reviewed with all team members.
What you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred, or extensive manufacturing management experience as an equivalencyMinimum of 5 years' relevant working experienceProven knowledge of ERP Systems (JDE, SAP,...)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal

Update and maintain system documentation, as well as manage Material Master Data Integrity
Within 6 months, you'll:Analyze the production plan to ensure it is accurate for the current business climateImprove operational efficiencies to reduce backlog by 30%Gain a full understanding of product lines, schedules, customer contract requirements, material requirements, forecast, supplier material coverage, internal factory and external supplier capacity and build plans, supplier delivery schedules, any/all production issues, to ensure a continuous flow of material to meet customer expectations
Within 12 months, you'll:Complete all necessary BOM/Routing changes to ensure proper information is loaded to the ERP System to support the JDE launchTake on a Level 1 A3 tied to the Lean Transformation PlanTake on Cycle Counting and Yearly Inventory responsibility to improve Wayne's material efficiency
