Description
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting for the organization. Provides technical financial expertise to assigned business units and leaders to ensure all financial and operational data are available to support business decisions. This role will collaborate with IT, Accounting, Finance and Operations leadership to support a cross-functional IT product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the development of the annual operating plan and monthly financial forecast updates for assigned business units and departments
Performs detailed variance analysis to determine key drivers of change between actual, budgeted and forecasted financials
Develop, maintain, and improve various detailed budget and forecast reports for senior management
Uses a variety of tools to carry out responsibilities including operational and financial data warehouses (specifically Workday Adaptive Planning) and P&L models
Coordinates with other members of the finance, IT and Accounting teams to prepare analysis and reports as appropriate to fulfill business needs
Utilizes knowledge of Excel and databases to actively seek reporting improvements and efficiencies to assist in making informed business decisions
Evaluate and monitor multiyear IT capital investment plans and projects
Additional duties include analysis of annual capital expenditures and monthly depreciation
Conducts other ad hoc financial analysis to support operational decision making
Skills and Requirements
BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or related field
2-4 years of relevant experience in financial or business analysis
Experience working with large databases preferred and experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or other Financial Planning software required
Inquisitive, self-motivated, initiative taking problem solver
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail a must
Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multitask
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Restaurant industry or franchise experience preferred
