About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an Costing Analyst to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Costing Analyst will manage work flow for all costing projects to ensure timely quotes are provided to the necessary internal teams. This position is responsible for handling the negotiation and vendor selection of the new item development process for all Unique customers; and the entire Request For Proposal (RFP) process for new items, including drafting specifications, sourcing, identifying supplier resources and communicating with suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesProactively tracks, follows up and coordinates the quoting, negotiation, and vendor selection process for assigned new items for all Unique customers, including but not limited to special customers, licensed items, DI programs, and catalog development.Communicates with internal stakeholders to manage/effectuate efficient and timely execution of new items/programs quotations and recommendations.Drafts detailed specifications and communications and provides to bidding suppliers to initiate RFP process on new items/product categories.Manages, maintains and organizes all cost quotes from bidding suppliers and makes recommendations based on all contributing factors (product/tooling cost, factory dependability, factory audit status, etc.) to the Senior Sourcing Manager for final supplier and item selections.Provides completed RFPs and makes recommendations to Costing Lead and Senior Sourcing Manager for review and decision making; and communicates final decision and timing details with selected manufacturer.Manages the RFP process for selected supplier resources, working with a variety of internal departments to provide detailed specifications to potential suppliers.Manages, organizes and tracks incoming cost summaries from bidding suppliers for assigned Unique quotation inquiries, and prepares organized customer quote summaries for internal stakeholders.Maintains detailed tracking tool in Microsoft Excel and other necessary programs and updates new item/costing project status and deadlines periodically. Communicates status and upcoming deadlines to the Senior Sourcing Manager.Maintains all files and administrative aspects of the sourcing and manufacturer selection process for assigned new items and programs.Perform other related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications
Superior organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.Requires effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and/or facts and recommendations effectively.Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet navigations skills for item research.Ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel required. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.High school diploma or its equivalent required. Undergraduate degree in related field strongly preferred.2-4 years of related experience in a consumer products industry required.Experience working with consumer product licenses preferred.Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
