Financial Planning and Analysis Role This is a North America Finance position that will be responsible for assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close analysis, performing planning and forecasting activities, and assisting with the preparation of accurate, clear/concise reporting to Business Unit/Finance management (divisional and corporate) on a weekly/monthly/ quarterly basis. Critical qualities to succeed include the ability to take ownership, identify and recommend remediation for issues; and the willingness/desire to continuously build on insurance/product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities Assist in completing accurate and timely financial analysis so informed business decisions can be made. This will include responsibility to: * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and YTD profit and loss reports for completeness and accuracy * Compile metrics and analysis on various portions of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions and Expe ses * Prepare monthly commentary on financial statements (specific to the Business Unit) providing clear and accurate descriptions of the significant events impacting the monthly /quarterly results * Gather/prepare documentation to support unusual activity, trends or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of the findings. Continue to follow up on issues until completion * Responsible for Expense Management and Reporting * Key member of the team responsible for building the annual plan and quarterly forecasting
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major or in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Software Engineering, or a related field but with a minor in Business.
