We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager who can manage overall plant operations, ensuring the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company quality standards and customer delivery requirements. Position is in Denver, CO. Travel outside of the local Denver area is minimal.

ResponsibilitiesPrioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the plant staff to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with company quality requirements.Establish production schedules to ensure timely delivery of customer products.Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase productivity and quality.Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines, and employees.Review production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and building and establish plant housekeeping standards.Develop and recommend plant capital and operating budgets to ensure conformance to budgets.Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and various regulatory agencies.Oversee safety training and employee compliance.Daily paperwork and office tasks as required to keep reporting updated.Utilize forklift as necessary to ensure proper production, sorting and organization.Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Competencies

Ability to work in a complex and constantly changing environment.Ability to lead others in a safe and productive manner.High level of knowledge of grades, pricing and logistics in the recycling industry including paper, plastics, and metals.High level of knowledge concerning the equipment involved in the recycling industry.Exceptional communication and organizational skills.High level of experience working with business financials and to be able to execute necessary changes within the facility.Education / Experience

Recycling facility experience or related management preferred.Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
