Director of Operations!Responsibilities:The Director of Operations II has overall responsibility for managing a regional group of assigned specialty medical practices. Oversight includes accountability for operations, financial performance and managing client relationships through strategic implementation and people management.
Financial and OperationalAssist in preparation of corporate budgets with Envision Pysician Services clinical leadership and the financial and accounting teamTogether with regional clinical leadership, you will monitor financial performance of facility contracts and labor cost variances to budgetSpecifically monitor and manage labor costs and hours as compared to budgetEstablish appropriate internal processes and other standard work tools to ensure effective and efficient operationsAttend clinical leadership meetings to resolve operational issues and communicate significant issues related to corporate strategy, financial performance & other corporate initiativesDevelop and monitor business metrics related to financial and operational performance, including interfacing with Central Services, Business Intelligence, and other internal departments responsible for data production and analysisInterface with other leaders within the organization as needed to resolve issues and successfully implement Corporate and divisional goals and objectivesManage and monitor clinical compensation and other benefits-related processes and proceduresManage provider resources and allocations to include requisition approvalAuthorization of contract requests for all providers within the RegionImplement start-ups and acquisitions in collaboration with designated internal work groups to include clinical and operational leadershipAssist the Managed Care Department as required in facility global arrangements, self-pay and other managed care contracting issuesCoordinate clear and consistent communication with other departments on successfully integrating new programsActively participate in Kaizen events to improve processes both internally and externallyDrive business development, acquisitions & organic growthAssist Business Development by participating in business development meetings, providing required specialty-specific information, identifying target providers within and outside of local markets, obtaining and disseminating pertinent information, and serving as key contact in current facilities or offices related to crossselling or expansion of servicesAssist in identification of specialty-specific additional services and modalities, analyze their feasibility and implement where applicableEstablish processes to ensure the effective operationalization of organic growth contracts, including the assignment of a Client Services team, participation in relevant meetings, acclimating new providers and groups to the organization, implementation of standard work, establishing budgets and ongoing assessment and recalibration of new business.Interface with ENVOY or other recruitment staff to ensure that the appropriate processes are in place to identify and place potential candidates in an efficient and cost-effective manner for both temporary and permanent assignmentsClient ManagementCoordinate contract negotiation/renegotiation process in conjunction with Legal, clinical, operational leadership, and other relevant internal stakeholdersCoordinate and monitor contract changesMeet regularly with key client stakeholders to:
Identify any projected changes in service requirements that impact operations and financialsProactively address client expectations and issuesUnderstand and communicate local market issues within the assigned geographic area that impact the Company and client through networking and nurturing of other healthcare relationships in the region
Meet regularly with Envision Physician Services and affiliated providers to understand their needs, resolve identified issues, and build relationshipsAct is a corporate liaison to ensure a strong sense of Company within the provider communityProvide leadership in assigned regional market to assist specialty clinical leadership in developing significant long- term relationships with the facility, facility ownership, clinical leadership to promote long-term business success and market positionProvide support as required for business development opportunities within assigned regionAct as a liaison as necessary between corporate departments and Client facility personnel
People ManagementRecruit, train, develop and evaluate Client Services employeesWork with regional/executive clinical leadership, as well as Human Resources, to develop a pipeline of effective leadership at the facility levelDirect Regional specialty recruiting strategy to fulfill needs for short, mid and long-term contract success and market developmentProvide formal, quarterly feedback to assigned recruitment and new hire team through established report card proceduresWork with the National Practice Director to develop and maintain new contracts and staffing schedulesAssess new contract staffing needs and communicate those to the recruitment department and third-party staffing companies
