Job Function:

Create a meaningful student-athlete, fan and stakeholder experience by driving awareness and attendance to NCAA championships.The Coordinator of Championships Marketing & Ticketing plays a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategies and initiatives for select NCAA Championships. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive marketing coordinator. This position will be responsible for the creation and deployment of marketing emails, managing organic and paid digital marketing campaigns, and coordinating vendor relations for video and radio spots focused on ticket sales. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of digital marketing tactics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

Job Responsibilities

Email Marketing:

Design, write, and deploy email campaigns to drive engagement, ticket sales, and brand awareness.Manage email segmentation, A/B testing, and performance tracking to optimize campaigns.Analyze campaign performance metrics and generate reports to inform future strategies.Ensure email marketing is following best practices and industry regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).Organic and Paid Marketing:

Develop comprehensive marketing plans encompassing both organic and paid channels to drive ticket sales and fan engagement for NCAA Championships.Execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms such as social media, search engines, and display advertising.Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion.Data-Driven Marketing Decision-Making:

Utilize data analytics tools and market research to inform marketing strategies and tactics.Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.Generate reports and insights to share with stakeholders, including senior management and NCAA leadership.Lead Generation:

Develop and implement lead generation strategies to expand the NCAA Championships' audience and drive ticket sales, merchandise purchases, and other revenue-generating activities.Utilize targeted advertising, email marketing campaigns, and lead capture initiatives to identify and nurture potential customers throughout the sales funnel.Collaborate with ticketing partners, merchandise vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize lead generation efforts and maximize conversion ratesOther duties as assigned.Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree preferredPhotoshop/Illustrator experience preferred.Professional/full-time experience, with 2-4 years in sports/event promotion and/or marketing required.Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across email, grassroots, organic, and paid channels.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive marketing strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Passion for collegiate athletics and a deep understanding of NCAA regulations and guidelines.Proficient with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media advertising tools.Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email design.Experience negotiating and managing contract fulfillment preferred.Experience working with consultants and/or external agencies preferred.Knowledge and understanding of the Association's governmental structure and functions.Travel Required:

This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana.Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.Key Competencies
