About the role:

By combining best-in-class autonomy and cloud-connected real-time visibility, drones become the critical and ubiquitous infrastructure that can be deployed and monitored in real time to solve a variety of problems faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before. Realizing this future requires a reliable and robust wireless communication network that spans multiple use cases and capabilities. We're looking for you, an experienced Wireless Software Engineering Manager to join our team and tackle these challenges head on.

How you'll make an impact:

You will manage a team of talented engineers working on multiple wireless solutions across the stack from cloud to MAC and PHY firmware layersYou will enhance and improve Skydio's various wireless solutions, extending the range and providing high-speed and secure communicationYou will oversee the development and realization of real world innovations in WiFi and Cellular technologies and tailor them to specific drone communication use casesYou will work to optimize command and control latency, video streams fusion, and end to end network management for various use cases and customer needsWhat makes you a good fit:

Hands-on feature architecture and design experience in one or more core technologies including WiFi 802.11 and Cellular 4G-LTE/5GNRExperience with WLAN software engineering with broad knowledge across the stackDeep system level understanding of wireless communications and its fundamentalsStrong familiarity with software test coverage and automationStrong management and leadership skills including the ability to plan, execute and deliver a very high quality product with a high performing teamCan work in a collaborative cross-functional environment alongside Systems, Software Embedded, and Hardware EngineersStrong debugging skills in a variety of environments

Compensation:

At Skydio, our compensation packages for full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of options, comprehensive benefits, and various incentives and stipends. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $212,500 - 277,500*.
