Job Description

Job OverviewReporting to the Director of Annual and Reunion Giving, the Donor Engagement and Communication Coordinator fosters meaningful donor connections through personalized acknowledgments and communications, and coordinates content creation, record maintenance, and support for donor engagement activities within the Office of Annual & Reunion Giving.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages Wheaton Associates membership outreach.Coordinates Student Ambassador program, including the facilitation of 10-20 student volunteers.Oversees prompt, personal donor communications, including thank-you notes and other recognitions.Develops and manages text messaging campaigns for donor prospecting, updates, acknowledgements, and engagement.Manages the donor email inbox and phones, ensuring timely and professional responses.Coordinates the packaging and distribution of physical welcome packages, acknowledgements, and gifts.Creates engaging, personalized content for donor interactions, including newsletters, messages, and donor stories.Works with the Office of Marketing Communications to execute the Annual & Reunion Giving marketing and communication plan, especially key donor engagement pieces like the President's Memorandum, Advent Devotional, and other marketing materials like videos, photoshoots, and more.Records activities in the CRM system and maintains Wheaton Associate and donor records.Supports on-campus events like Alumni and Homecoming Weekends, Giving Day, and Board of Visitors meetings.Performs other duties as assigned.This job description is intended to represent key areas of responsibilities; specific assignments may vary from time to time, and other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferredExperience in fundraising and nonprofitsPrevious work experience in an office setting preferredDemonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects with high attention to detailDemonstrated self-management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsComputer competencies, including proficiency with data entry, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office

Physical RequirementsThe employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
