SummaryResponsible for designing an optimal process, program, fixturing, and set up of for fabrication of parts per customer purchase order. Works to improve the manufacturing and production processes using lean manufacturing and other improvement concepts. This includes collecting production data, analyzing outputs, determining corrective actions, project management, evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to improve quality, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process.$3000 Sign On Bonus! Competitive pay and benefits that begin on day 1!Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading CNC Swiss department programming process:Creation of CNC Swiss programsCreation of manufacturing processCreation of operation prints as requiredCoordinate with quality on inspection methods and First ArticlesParticipate in pre-production process to ensure all items are kitted and available at setup timeCreate and maintain setup sheetsLeads in optimization of set-up cycle times and improvement of productivity standards by teaming with CNC machinists and set-up personnel.Investigates, experiments, and implements processes to maximize productivity.Maintains reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.Evaluates current processes, determines their effectiveness, identifies opportunities, and recommends strategies for improvement.Research, procure, and develop new technology including, but not limited to:ToolingWork holdingEquipmentParticipate in quality activities including, but not limited to:NCMR reviewRoot cause analysisMaterial review boardUtilizes a hands-on approach in working with the front-line employees.Assist with quoting part ratesMentor other engineers and machinists to improve their manufacturing and engineering skill setsQualificationsAssociate's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing EngineeringA minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC Swiss machining (Citizen and Tsugami a plus)A minimum of 3 years CAM programming experience (Partmaker and GIBBS a plus)Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirementsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing EngineeringAbility to setup and operate machine toolsAbility to program machine toolsContract manufacturing experienceKnowledge of the medical device manufacturing industry.Experience with machining of various materials: stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, etc.Strong understanding/experience of setting up Swiss-turning machines.Knowledge of G-codes and M-codes.Able to read and interpret blueprints and utilize GD&T proficientlyKnowledge of cutters and inserts to be capable of selecting the right tools for the machining operations based on the component material, hardness and drawing tolerances.Knowledge of ISO 13485 Quality Management System & FDA 21CFR 820 Regulations.Strong Analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively, both written and verballyStrong communication & customer-service skillsKnowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds and work methodsAbility to be open minded and work well with others and in a team environmentAbility to work independently with minimal training or supervisionStrong math skillsExcellent computer skills and proficiency with MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)3D CAD skillsAdditional NotesARCH Global Holdings, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.All employees of ARCH Global Precision are employed on an at-will basis.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
