Responsibilities:Perform testing on the design and operating effectiveness of 3120 Supervisory Controls including assessing whether legal, regulatory, and internal policy outcomes are met by the firm's Broker-Dealer legal entities and affiliatesAssist the development of test scripts and thematic financial regulation-related test programs that accurately identify risk and lead to fact-based assessments of controls and outcomesReport on and draft written findings that clearly communicate the risk and impact of control gaps and negotiate risk remediation plans with stakeholdersEstablish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders in the Front Office, Operations, and other Control FunctionsCollaborate with Compliance Advisory and Central Compliance to support the development of an annual, risk-based Testing PlanContribute to the reporting for required Annual Compliance filings including but not limited to the firm's BDs, FCMs, SEFs and other regulated entities.Support continuous enhancement of the Testing Program by identifying and implementing improvementsAssist the Management Team with other projects, as necessaryQualifications:
Prior experience in Internal Audit, Controls Testing team or experience assessing or testing the design and operating effectiveness of Supervision -related controlsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate effectively across a diverse range of stakeholdersDemonstrated experience analyzing risks relevant to complex business processes, data, or systems with a check and challenge mindsetAbility to work independently to manage projects and deliverables to completionMust have a working knowledge or understanding of the control functions of a Broker Dealer and/or similar entities i.e. FCM or SEFFamiliar with CFTC, SEC, FINRA and NFA RulesThorough understanding of the 3120 requirementsSeries 7, 24, 99 helpful1-3 years industry experienceEducational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
Hybrid Working -
We are currently operating a hybrid model for our shared services employees (including this role). We anticipate continuing these arrangements for the foreseeable future with periodic review.
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
