The Role

The selected individual will repair and perform preventative maintenance on high voltage systems above 600 volts. Other duties include troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, calibrate equipment, interpret schematics in a complex industrial setting, and perform preventative maintenance on Emergency Diesel Generators and associated control circuits.

Other duties include rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, lighting maintenance and performing preventative maintenance. This job may also require you to perform crane electrical maintenance. Candidate should have completed basic electrical theory classes or possess a journeyman electrician's license. Candidate should have a good driving record and be willing to become a qualified equipment operator (JLG, forklift, scissor-lift, etc.). Candidate will be expected to place high priorities on safety and quality-workmanship and be willing to obtain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Code.

Must Have

Individual must be able to lift minimum of 40 lbs and perform manual labor in an outdoor environment.

Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by plant operations.

This position requires the ability to understand oral and written instructions.

Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs

Nice to Have

Strong skills in troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment.Preferred qualified candidates should possess 4+ years' experience as an industrial maintenance electrician/technician.All applicants should be physically capable of climbing vertical ladders and working at moderate heights.Knowledge in the following areas is preferred; High Voltage cable splicing and terminating, SCADA system maintenance, secondary and primary breaker maintenance and repair, generator and automatic transfer maintenance and repair.Trade school graduate preferred, but previous on-the-job training will be considered in lieu of electrical theory courses.High school graduate or equivalent preferred
