Job Summary:

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps (ADO). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure resources, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with application teams to address platform requirements. This role requires working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, virtual networks, NSGs, and managing various cloud services. The engineer will also support weekly releases outside regular business hours and must be available to work on a hybrid basis in either San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

•Create infrastructure in Azure Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) environments using Terraform and ADO.

•Develop and manage IAC pipelines using GitLab runners.

•Leverage extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure resources to support and deploy solutions.

•Collaborate with application teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot platform issues, and implement necessary changes.

•Convert ADO pipelines into Terraform IAC pipelines for standardized deployments.

•Configure and troubleshoot Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, virtual networks (VNETs), route tables, NSGs, Purview, Azure storage, application contexts, and Azure Key Vault (AKV).

•Build custom virtual machine (VM) images using Packer.

•Deploy and troubleshoot Azure VMs, scale sets, and load balancers on both Windows and Linux environments.

•Deploy and maintain App Services, Function Apps, and Azure Automation accounts.

•Support weekly releases during non-business hours as required.

•Create and manage Jira tasks and ServiceNow change requests.

Required Qualifications:

•Strong experience in building infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Terraform and Azure DevOps (ADO).

•Hands-on experience with IAC pipelines, specifically with GitLab runners.

•Solid understanding of Azure resources and services, including Azure Data Factory, VNETs, NSGs, route tables, storage, AKV, and more.

•Proficiency in converting ADO pipelines into Terraform IAC pipelines.

•Experience building custom VM images using Packer.

•Skilled in deploying and troubleshooting Azure VMs, scale sets, load balancers, App Services, and Function Apps.

•Familiarity with creating Jira tasks and ServiceNow change requests.

•Ability to support weekly releases during non-business hours.

•Availability to work in a hybrid model in San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX.

•Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

•Knowledge of automation and deployment best practices in a cloud environment.

•Experience in handling ServiceNow and Jira for task management and change requests.

•Effective communication skills for collaborative work across teams and with stakeholders.
