To find out more about how Criterion can help you take your career to the next level please visit our website: www.criterion-sys.com .ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking aLead Technical Writerto support the OCIO for the National Nuclear Security Agency inLas Vegas, NV.The Lead Technical Writer manages, reviews and formalizes the work of program technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure contract deliverables are in compliance with standards and requirements while meeting all deliverable due dates. The Lead Technical Writer also provides guidance on writing, formatting, and grammar. The Lead Technical writer must gain expertise with departmental processesand procedures across the task order.Written and verbal communications skills are critical to this applicant's success as we deal with small and large technical and non-technical audiences. Applicants must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively. Applicant must be a positive, flexible, and require minimal supervision. This environment is fast-paced and fluid.Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities+ Daily management of Technical Documentation incoming/outgoing workload+ Attend select project meetings with identified documentation requirements+ Maintain all applicable policies and procedures for supported teams+ Provide short-notice writing and editing support to departments, executives, and team members as needed+ Provide detailed peer review/QA checks of documentation drafted by program SMEs+ Perform professional development training to remain current on tools and technologies and improve skill sets and efficiency+ May assist with writing and editing business development-related content for proposal submissions+ Limited travel required

QualificationsRequired Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies+ Must be a U.S. citizen+ Must possess an active TS or DOE Q security clearance or have to ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance+ A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, or four years of IT experience may be used in lieu of a degree+ Minimum of 5 years experience as an individual contributor+ Strong Technical Writing experience, including excellent verbal and written communication skills+ Experience managing and successfully completing complex writing projects+ Experience creating templates and documents, including user and reference guides; process improvement, and compliance writing+ Experience interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)+ Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills+ Customer service focus, and strong interface/communication skills+ Ability to ask relevant questions of customers and engineers in support of documentation+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills+ Ability to excel in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule+ Ability to follow procedures and work instructions to perform tasks+ Identify process gaps and pro-actively improve system inefficiencies+ Ability to coordinate subject matter experts and staff to gather information for business development and proposal contentSecurity Clearance Level+ Must possess an active TS or DOE Q security clearance or have to ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance.+ Pre-employment drug screening and credit check requiredWork Schedule+ Full-time on-sitePay RateThe projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $14 0,000.
