Job Description
The Real Estate Middle Office Analyst is supporting the US residential debt strategy for Man Discretionary business. This role will support Portfolio and Asset Management activities and will be responsible for NAV oversight, cash management for asset purchases and loan administration & liaising with the Front Office. Possessing excellent communication and administrative skills, the Analyst will be responsible for a significant portion of the day-to-day operations support and managing relationships with our Operations counterparts at our clients & external counterparties.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the direction and administration of operations and processes for debt positions backed by real estate assetsCalculate Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds on a daily, weekly and monthly basis including checking accrued income and expenses. Provision of intra-NAV estimates to the Asset Managers/Clients when requested.Liaise with the fund administrator/s to reconcile final fund NAVsOversight of changes to incentive/performance fees, management fees, and any other fee structures in scopeCheck and process all cash management and payment processing activities for front office activitiesResponsible for the account setup and daily reconciliation of transactions ensuring accuracy of the entries generatedResponsible for service provider relationships including but not limited to, fund administration, loan administration, banking, auditors, valuation agents, etc.Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the pricing governance and controls are maintained through identification and mitigation of pricing risks and the communication/documentation of any enhancements to the frameworkAssist in the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly investor reportsActively monitor risk by identifying trends and potential issues with operational controlsTrack deal terms and conditions for existing and prospective fund investmentsVerifying document inventory for newly acquired loans to ensure all terms and conditions are accurately captured by the loan adminMonitor compliance of lending counterparties with all facility covenants and requirementsReview of loan servicing reports to ensure full principal amount is returned and that loan tracking system is updated to reflect paid off loans & outstanding interestTaking a proactive and innovative approach to enhancing processes and maintaining internal policies and procedures manualsKey Skills & Experience:
Qualified accountant or CFA preferred, alternatively 0-3 years audit experience with US Residential Debt Funds acceptableExcellent Microsoft skills (power point, excel and word)Strong communication skills, strong business knowledge and ability to multitaskGood understanding of traded financial instrumentsA team player, who is also comfortable to take individual ownershipAbility to communicate effectively with multiple senior stakeholders
Base Salary Range: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000-$115,000 + benefits + a discretionary bonus. This is the base salary range that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting based on the location and requirements of the position as well as the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant.
