Summary The Financial Reporting Manager is key in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of an organization's financial information. This crucial role oversees the entire financial reporting process, from data collection and consolidation to preparation, review, and filing of financial statements. The manager leads a team of accounting professionals, collaborating with various departments to maintain transparent and reliable financial records for internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage the financial reporting process: + Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement. + Ensure financial statements comply with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP reporting requirements. + Manage the consolidation of financial information from multiple entities. + Lead the close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting cycles. Communicate and collaborate: + Collaborate with various departments and groups within the organization, including tax, operations, and treasury, to gather and reconcile financial data. + Communicate complex financial information to senior management, auditors, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. + Respond to inquiries from external auditors and regulators. Lead and manage the team: + Lead, motivate, and develop a team of financial reporting professionals. + Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. + Identify and address potential risks and challenges related to financial reporting. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university. Relevant Experience 5+ years related experience and/or training. Public accounting experience or experience with a public Company as part of the financial reporting team. Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls experience preferred.
