Associates degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of related experienceAbility to perform basic maintenance and advanced electrician dutiesMust understand solid state circuitry and 110V, 220V, 440V and 480V systemsAbility to bend and proper size conduit based on wire conductors; ability to size starters and frequency drives; ability to size fusing and motor wires based on motor amperageAbility to use electrical schematics, diagnose problems with programmable controllers on equipment, and operate electrical testing equipment and machining equipmentAbility to read and interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsIntermediate knowledge of Arc FlashAbility to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computerAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureAbility to obtain a valid forklift licenseMust be able to lift ninety (90) lbs.Responsibilities:

Perform standard repairs and assists in receiving, adjusting, and installing new plant equipment using a variety of power hand and shop tools as requiredAssist in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective actionRead and interpret schematic drawings and diagramsAssist with major repairs and/or construction required to plant buildings and equipment, primarily electrical in naturePerform preventative electrical repairs on electrical cords and motors and assists with preventative maintenance on equipment replacement of partsRuns conduit and pulls electrical wire to wire new and used equipment; helps replace starters, relays, switches, and fuses in electrical panels; helps replace main and auxiliary disconnects as requiredPerform advanced electrician duties including but not limited to checking heater packs on motor starters, checking for open circuit in control wiring, using an Ohm meter to Ohm a heater, using electrical schematic to determine control wiring, and checking/troubleshooting single phasing of three phase systems.Set up metal detectorsParticipate in and successfully complete management-assigned training directed at increasing job-related trade skillsTrain Maintenance employees in keeping all equipment in good repair and regularly servicedWork in a safe manner with a sense of urgency while maintaining a safe and orderly work areaThe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform all Maintenance Mechanic I and Electrician I duties; Arch FlashTrained; Must understand solid state circuitry; Must understand 110V. 220V, 440V, and 480V systems; Must be able tolift ninety (90) lbs; Ability to use electrical schematics, diagnose problems with programmable controllers onequipment, and operate electrical testing equipment and machining equipment; Ability to bend and proper size conduitbased on wire conductors; Ability to size starters and frequency drives; Ability to size fusing and motor wires basedon motor amperage; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to complete work orders, carry out instructions furnished in written,oral or diagram form, and complete required paperwork; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions,percentages, area, circumference and volume; Ability to expand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formaltraining directed at increasing job-related skills as mandated by management including all required OSHA training;Ability to learn basic computer skills, including SAP Maintenance Module; Ability to comply with all general safetypolicies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) rules and regulations; Ability to obtain a valid forklift license.
