We have an immediate opening for the right person who is committed to elevating the hotel experience and is eager to uncover new business as well as maintain relationships with all clients to further the Hotel’s visibility and success.
We are very actively looking to fill the position of Full-Time Group Sales & Marketing Manager. You will also be handling a bit of business transient accounts as well. Applicants must have Hotel Sales experience, either as a sales coordinator or sales manager. Kindly only apply if you have this experience. Job Summary:
This position contributes to the success of Crescent Hotels & Resorts by creating wonderful and memorable experiences for every guest who stays at the club's boutique 72 room hotel. You will be working directly with the Area Director of Sales to assist in cultivating a high performing sales team that consistently delivers growth and revenue objectives. The Group Sales and Marketing Manager will also assist in strategies such as promotions and unique marketing packages and initiatives to drive revenue. Please note this position is an on property role five days a week Monday through Friday, with occasional later evenings for client events or entertaining new potential clients.
Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing strategic sales plansManaging a portfolio of accounts and building strong relationships with clientsIdentifying new clients and business opportunitiesStrong ability to close group and transient businessFlexible and adaptable to changing trends in the market place and the ability to work with many different clients professionallyNegotiating group and business transient contractsPreparing reports on goals, sales, and profits and presenting these to senior managementA sharp awareness of trends and changes in the hotel and hospitality industryCollaborating with other departments, particularly reservations and front office, to ensure hotel services exceed guest needsAttend trade shows and industry events to broaden network and increase business, with occasional travel via flight two to three times a year to attend trade shows or sales calls in top feeder markets.Education, licenses, & certifications:
Required: Minimum of two to three years of experience in same position in the Hotel Sales. The ideal candidate is a Sales Coordinator or Sales manager in a hotel currently and looking for a great new experienceRequired: High School Diploma or GED EquivalentRequired: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record, and must be willing to travel by flightEssential qualifications:
Required: At least 21 years of age.Required: Strong understanding of the hotel industry and market trends in Los Angeles.Required: Reliable and punctual attendance.Required: Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.Required: Travel (by vehicle and plane) for business, training, and/or development, including overnight trips.Required: Excellent oral, speech, and writing skills in English. (Fluency in Spanish is not required but a plus)Required:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsRequired: Computer Experience: proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, and ability to learn a variety of other software systemsRequired: Strong presentation and customer service skills; convey messages clearly and confidently; persuade and effect positive changeRequired: Capable of working effectively independently at a high level with minimal supervisionRequired: Strong analytical skills.Required High attention to detail and accuracyRequired: Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently meet deadlines and produce work in a timely manner.

$75,000.00 Annual Salary and eligible for quarterly bonus program
