Position Summary

Neptune Technology Group has an immediate opening for a Buyer/Planner in the Purchasing Department. The individual in this role works with multiple departments at Neptune and is responsible for planning and procurement of materials needed for production. This individual may also be asked to procure maintenance, repair, and operating supplies in addition to other duties. This position requires an individual to work with limited direction, process orders in a timely manner while supporting the manufacturing departments as needed and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Objectives

Procure inventory, supplies, and capital goods for production purposes.Utilize forecast, production plans and the ERP system to schedule delivery of parts needed to support production while managing inventory levels.Keep records of all acquisitions to ensure that purchases remain within budget and on schedule.Develop and investigate supply sources, and issue request for quotations, proposals, or bids for those items not covered by any existing purchasing arrangement.May serve as liaison to vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business or Supply Chain Management

Experience: 4+ years relevant experience; Purchasing, Inventory Control, and ERP system experience.

Skills/Special Training: Proficiency in oral and written communications.
