This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position may be eligible for telecommuting after the initial training period is complete.
The salary range for this role is $64,480 - $97,648; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
Essential FunctionsCreate end-user documents in accordance with the company's strategies and standardsSupport publications from initiation to operational useIdentify, modify and implement technical data packages consisting of an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP), engineering drawings, and Logistics Management Information (LMI), ide Technical Manual (TM) development and changes using Adobe Frame Maker, Microsoft Word, and Adobe IllustratorCollaborate with other team members' engineers, drafters, and internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create technical publications and other required documentationPerform in-process reviews, certifications and verifications of Technical Manuals with operators, peers, and customersCoordinate and support Engineering in Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. Participate in project meetings with direct contact with the Engineering and Government customerCoordinate and handle multiple tasks and projects and provide guidance for the same to IPT members throughout the development lifecyclePerform data and configuration management activities associated with implementation of Technical Manuals and other required documentationDevelop required Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) productsPerform other duties as assigned.Required Skills
Ability to perform work and resolve problems with limited supervisionStrong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail with ability to proofread and edit technical documentsRequired Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication or English; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two (2) or more years' experience in an engineering or technical publication or related environmentProficiency with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Office applications or other Desktop Publishing ProgramsWorking knowledge of engineering materials, components, assemblies, computer, and peripheral hardware designs partsFamiliarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, e.g., Windchill or equivalentFamiliarity with S1000D authoring and publishing, preferredAdditional Eligibility Qualifications
May require occasional travel to remote sitesThe flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirementsMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenshipValid U.S. Driver's License
