DescriptionAmazon is seeking an experienced public relations professional to join our global Amazon Ads communications team. Amazon Ads is innovating to deliver full funnel advertising at scale for all brands -- including in our stores, on our streaming services, apps, and devices, and across the web -- through delightful customer experiences.As a PR Specialist for Amazon Ads, you will partner with business and communications stakeholders to provide counsel on, and manage media engagement around, emerging topics and trends that could impact our brand or reputation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and executing owned and earned communications strategies, tactics, and content; ongoing reactive media relations; collaborating with colleagues across a variety of Amazon communications, business, and policy teams; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs and content for their regions.The successful candidate is customer-obsessed with high-judgment. They are exemplary written and verbal communicators with a passion for media relations -- including managing complex, fast-moving, high-profile media engagements. The candidate should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines and a proven track record of earning trust from internal and external stakeholders.Key job responsibilitiesSpearhead owned and earned (proactive and reactive) communications strategies and messaging on behalf of Amazon AdsProvide reputational PR counsel and support to business partnersKeep current on industry trends, issues, and news and proactively provide related strategic counselBuild and maintain relevant media relationshipsSuccessfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challengesA day in the lifeThe role is inherently unpredictable, never boring, and requires a good team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
