Overview

The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and technical support for all banking, investment and debt activity as part of the Controller group. This includes managing daily cash flow, forecasting and reporting, risk management, and supporting the development of treasury policies and procedures. Supports all aspects of treasury operations activities, including assisting with the administration and deployment of cash management banking solutions for all business segments of the organization, supporting the cash forecasting process, and monitoring of investment custody accounts in-bound and out-bound funds flow. Also serves as key coordination point for business insurance activities and special projects.

Responsibilities

Develops expert knowledge of banking portals and ensures the continued, accurate operation of the company's treasury systems and related data flows; identifies and executes on opportunities to upgrade approaches, tools and processes.

Establishes required bank accounts (domestic and foreign) and performs the daily administration of bank accounts, investments, and/or debt obligations to include required funding and disbursement and compilation of cash position. Monitors rates and analyzes the impact of changes on the deposit accounts.

Develops and provides complex financial analysis on the Company’s operating liquidity and treasury operations including receipts, disbursements, cash forecasting and short-term borrowing.

Provides analytics for the Company’s operating liquidity position and debt capacity; develops tools for various payment and reporting requirements; monitors for enhancement opportunities.

Develops templates, and initiates or approves funds transfers, as appropriate. Monitors accounts for unauthorized or unusual activity.

Develops and maintains required records and maintains proper internal controls of recorded transactions. Provides standard and ad-hoc reporting of accounts and their respective balances and coordinates the timely and effective use of the international stand-by letter of credit facility.

Documents treasury procedures and maintains appropriate detail in coordination with treasury responsibilities and initiatives. Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures for all cash desk operations.

Act as point person for communications with select external stakeholders including banks, investment consultant, credit rating agencies and state debt issuing authority.

Ensure financial compliance with Company policies and procedures, audit and accounting disclosure requirements, and applicable legal rules and tax-exempt regulations.

Provide support for staff performing monthly bank and credit card account reconciliations; helps resolve discrepancies and collaborates with other finance units as needed.

Coordinates escheatment program for unclaimed funds and ensures compliance with state regulation for due diligence and remittance.

Administers business insurance program through timely coordination of stakeholders, completion of applications and coordination with broker and monitoring of claims. Supports development of materials for distribution to key stakeholders, including appropriate board committees.

Compiles and publishes Enterprise Finance KPIs for review and analysis by finance leadership.

Serves as project manager or coordinator for special projects as assigned.

Various other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree Finance, masters preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance treasury operations

Advanced knowledge of treasury management, financial analysis, financial modeling; working knowledge of accounting principles.

Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools.
