VP of Investor Relations

Multi-billion-dollar Private Equity firm (B2B; lower middle market; industrial/specialty distro; North America/Europe) seeks VP of Investor Relations to develop/implement/manage strategies/tactics/resources for managing external investor relationships. Scope of role will include developing processes/systems for relationship management and championing processes internally, as well as Annual Existing Investor Activity, Co-Investments, and Fund Raising. Role is full-time in-office with limited travel.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with MD, Fund Ops to develop/execute IR Strategy, develop IR materials (quarterly reports, co-investment teasers, fundraising pitch decks, discreet reports for individual investor requests, and other investor communications)Work with Deal Team to develop teasers for individual co-investment deals; review/edit marketing materials; organize/manage data room; schedule/attend meetings with investors; contact investors with co-investment marketing materials and generate interest in deals; lead co-investment calls with investorsPrepare timeline and assign responsibilities for gathering data/preparing marketing materials (pitch deck/PPM/DDQ/portfolio company data/onsite meeting materials); set up data room ahead of launching funds; work with MD, Fund Ops and Partner to develop marketing materials for new funds; attend/lead meeting with placement agent as needed; develop/maintain deep cross functional relationships (Investment, Back Office, Legal, IR, BD, ESG and Ops) and work with these groups to ensure Limited Partner requests are completed/returned in a timely manner
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree (Business/Marketing/Communication/Finance/relevant field)7+ years professional experience; 3+ years in IRPrior PE experience to include extensive LP relationships, understanding of PE funds/portfolios, questions LPs ask, and the fundraising process; will consider PE-adjacent backgrounds (fund of funds, direct lending, alternatives)Direct experience raising equity capital from investors or managing IR within a private/public company; experience communicating strategy to shareholders (experience with institutional investors preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong quantitative skills (knowledge/understanding of basic finance/accounting); superb verbal/written communication skills; willingness to learn firm's story and investment strategy; sociable/engaging personality to build/maintain relationships; organized and process/detail-oriented; works well under pressure; strong team player with managerial/leadership experience to build/create successful teams
