Full time position, the faculty member is expected to work in an expanding academically oriented Pediatric Physiatric practice. Expectations to include outpatient care, inpatient consultation and potentially electrodiagnosis.

Montefiore Health System (MHS), comprised of more than 12 hospitals and a multitude of outpatient facilities, is leading force in healthcare delivery throughout the Bronx and the Hudson Valley. The Department of Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center is made up of one of the largest and most diverse faculties in the Northeast Region, of which we currently have 4 staff members who practice pediatric physiatry. In addition, the department has a strong education component, supporting 27 residents and a pediatric rehabilitation fellowship, one of only 19 ACGME accredited programs nationally. Our faculty members have diverse interests including ultrasound guided procedures, spasticity management, general musculoskeletal care, and neuro-rehabilitation, as well as prosthetics and orthotics, and others.
Requirements:
Applicant must be a Board Certified Physiatrist with post graduate training in pediatric rehabilitation.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
The applicant will be expected to help sustain and grow an active clinical practice across various practice locations across the Bronx and Westchester County. The physician will be expected to work closely with colleagues from related fields in order to support an integrated care model and facilitate high quality care. In addition, the applicant will actively participate in the training of residents and fellows. This responsibility may include curriculum development, direct supervision of trainees and their evaluation in collaboration with PM&R residency. The faculty member will also be expected to work closely and collaborate with the inpatient and outpatient therapy staffs. Finally, the applicant will be expected to take an active role in ongoing and new field related research endeavors in the area of rehabilitation medicine.
