We are looking for a TAR Scheduler and Tools Specialist to join our Monomers team in Freeport, TX.

As the TAR Scheduler and Tools Specialist, you will be responsible for scheduling, monitoring and control of the Pre-TAR/TAR activities on a continuous basis through work schedules, progress measurement and reporting systems. As a key member of the CM Turnaround team in Freeport, you will be the focal point for ensuring these systems are maintained and are working reliably in order to measure progress while allow decision to be made to meet TAR milestone deliverables.

Defining the appropriate planning tools to be used for the TAR project, setup the primary planning tool and scheduling tool at the project site and ensure they work properly and reliably together for the duration of the planning and execution phases. You will also learn the auxiliary planning tools used to ensure they work together with the primary planning tool and scheduling tool and report shortcomings to the team for implementing work-arounds or other means of risk contingency.
Developing and implementing necessary project-specific changes to all tools used by the planning team and ensure changes to tool align with the global strategy for BASF TAR management.
Creating, developing and optimizing the detail execution schedule for the TAR and work with the planning team to develop a realistic method of progress updates within the TAR execution and criteria for reporting priorities of the work.
Supporting the development of the pre-SD work schedule to include incorporating capital project schedules into a final consolidated TAR schedule.
Administering the working detail execution schedule; ensuring a TAR progress measurement remains functional and as accurate as possible; providing schedule updates and reports necessary for prioritizing work and resource levelling; and supporting the daily reporting functions, as they will be your main responsibilities during the shutdown.
Providing support post-SD with document control for archiving planning data, cost reconciliation process for the TAR project, scheduling of the remaining work-list and the development of the lessons learned and TAR final report.
If you have...
Associate/Technical degree or Maintenance/Turnaround scheduling experience in lieu of
Minimum 7+ years of experience working in Maintenance/Turnaround scheduling in a Chemical, Refining or Petrochemical manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience using Primavera P6 for work schedules and resource planning, Primavera P6 accreditation preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software tools to develop/update project dashboards to measure progress of pre-TAR/TAR activities
Advanced working knowledge of TAR work execution activities associated with all crafts (mechanical, millwright, insulation, scaffolding, instrument, electrical, etc)
Familiarity with using other reporting tools/dashboards to include Power BI, is a plus
