Job Summary:
Packages finished product, distributes and loads products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRead production schedule, shipping orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Convey material from receiving or production areas to storage or other areas.Sort and place material in rows according to size, type, style, color or code.Fill shipping schedule or requests for material or other stock items and distribute items to production station or loading dock.Mark materials with identifying information.Open bales, crates, and other containers.Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant.Use computer to enter records.Compile pick list from shipping schedule.Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to production station, or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.Package finished product in paper, plastic, or super sacks per production schedule.Fills bulk cars from production or warehouse inventory.Form, staple, fill and glue shipping cartons.Operate bag press, bulk car winch, and super sack packer.Perform limited inspection of bulk car, box car and containers before loading.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hearing protection is provided and required in certain areas.
