Financial Reporting Accountant II , based in our
St. Louis, MO office. This role is responsible for month-end closing processes, tracking projects, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling assigned GL accounts, performing allocations, reporting financial results to Industries and providing variance explanations, supporting ad hoc analysis requests. t you will be doing:Complete monthly accounting close processes
Prepare and post journal entriesInvestigate assigned monthly variances between actual and budgeted expenses
Provide explanation and prepare correcting journal entry if necessary
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of monthly income statements and ancillary reports in nVisionPrepare balance sheet account reconciliations and clear variancesPrepare monthly statistical information
Coordinate budget preparation processes
Maintain budget model in Adaptive Planning and Office ConnectProvide budget assistance to operations department managers
Prepare quarterly forecastsPrepare/maintain ad hoc and administrative reports/documents
Financial system and training documentationSupport ad hoc requests from operations and finance departmentsDevelop/update nVision reports
Miscellaneous
Prepare sales/use tax returnsSupport accounts payable GL coding requestsPerform special projects as assignedPotential exists for this position to have a role in allocation, capital expenditure, fixed asset, lease, prepaid, payroll and/or AFE project accounting
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred4-5 years of experience requiredPrior general ledger experienceCPA or CMA preferredWorking knowledge of accounting principles and practicesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter and dependableAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentialityStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskProficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on ExcelStrong interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skillsAdditional Information
