Location: Technology Department Reports to: Director of Technology

Calendar Days: 226 days Salary: Pay Grade 4

Qualifications:

Education

• High School diploma or GED required, (Associate's degree or higher preferred)

• Three years Secretary experience required. A technology background in an education environment is strongly preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is required.

• Broad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications including Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of local telephone company billing statements and cellular provider billing statements strongly preferred.

• Ability to proactively detect and resolve problems.

• Experience with purchasing practices in a K-12 environment including managing requisitions, E-Rate reporting, receiving and inventory control is strongly preferred.

• Must maintain a 95% or higher customer satisfaction rating within the district work order system.

• Must have reliable transportation to travel between facilities as occasionally needed (mileage reimbursement program).

• Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of this position which includes but not limited to long periods of standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.

• Must have the ability to physically lift 30lbs of varying size occasionally throughout the day.

• Must demonstrate a willingness to continue growing your professional carrier.

• Will perform other duties as required.

General Job Description:

Assist with the daily business operations of the Technology Department. Prepare correspondence, memorandums, forms, requisitions and reports for the technology department. Compile pertinent data as needed when preparing various state and local reports. Maintain physical and computerized departmental files, inventories, and district technology purchasing price list. Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. Prepare, process, and track all purchase orders, quotes and payment authorizations. Coordinate vendor repairs, services, and deliveries. Upload appropriate receipts into the E-Rate management system in a timely fashion. Perform precise bookkeeping tasks, including detailed arithmetic operations, to maintain department budget records. Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports, compile and submit to central office. Assist the Director of Technology in calendar coordination. Receive, sort and distribute mail and other documents to department staff. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

The position can require sitting for long periods, but can also be physically demanding requiring the ability to bend, lift, crouch, kneel, reach and walk in order to perform the essential functions. The person who fills this position must be able to work independently, be intrinsically motivated, procedurally disciplined in the face of peer pressure, highly organized, and detail oriented while focusing on the needs of our customers. Position requires reliable transportation to travel between multiple district buildings as occasionally needed.

Experience:

• Three years Secretary experience required. A technology background in an education environment is strongly preferred.

• Some experience substitutions may be made with military experience on a case-by-case basis depending on your occupational specialty.
