Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring an Employee Health Nurse in Rochester, NY! This role is in person / on site. Please read below and reply with an updated resume for consideration:
Type: Six-month contract, opportunity for extension
Schedule: Part time, twenty hours per week
Pay: $35.00 to $37.00 an hour
Responsibilities of the Employee Health Nurse:
· Provide preventative measures that protect the health and safety of workers; strive to ensure that all health and safety standards and regulations are met to safeguard the health and well-being of employees; and ensure access to preventative health and safety measures.
· Administering immunization/inoculations to prevent spread of communicable diseases; monitoring employees to protect patients and employees and prevent accidents and illness
· Reporting on medical tests required for new incoming employees
· Observing and assessing the work environment for potential dangers and hazards
· Providing health related coaching, teaching and counseling for employees within the scope of nursing license, knowledge and practice
· Planning, implementing, conducting and evaluating various vaccination programs, including the annual Flu Vaccination Program
· Trending employee illnesses/injuries to identify safety and health issues
· Performing ergonomic work station assessments upon request and/or upon reporting of a work-related injury
· Evaluating employee incident reports and providing appropriate follow up in consultation
· Managing workers' compensation records and assisting in meeting the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
· Providing monthly and annual reporting to state entities and Compliance as may be required
· Monitoring and updating Employee Health policies and procedures
Qualifications for the Employee Health Nurse:
· Bachelors degree preferred
· Active, unrestricted RN licensure in New York
· BLS certification
· Infection Control Certification
· 2+ years of RN experience
