Position Overview:
As Director of Business Development, you'll be at the forefront of their sales efforts, driving revenue growth through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and deal closure. This role is perfect for a hunter with a proven track record in selling business-to-government (B2G) solutions and a deep understanding of public sector procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting: Identify and prioritize potential clients and opportunities within your assigned territory.
Relationship Development: Build professional relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust and credibility
Data Mining and Research: Conduct thorough market research to tailor sales strategies to prospect needs.
Presentation Skills: Deliver compelling pitches highlighting our value proposition and solutions.
Field Testing: Coordinate demonstrations to showcase product effectiveness.
Proposal Development: Lead proposal efforts to develop customized solutions.
Deal Closure: Drive sales process to successful closure, ensuring satisfaction with terms.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles.Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in B2G sector.Deep understanding of B2G sales cycle, procurement processes, and government regulations.Strong network within public-sector and relevant industry associations.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Results-oriented, self-motivated, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Salesforce (or other CRM) and MS Office.
Ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues at user level.
