Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Press Feeder to join our team in Bolingbrook, IL on second shift working Monday through Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm. This role is critical in supporting the Lead Press Operator with the operation and maintenance of our high-security printing presses. Key ResponsibilitiesUphold and promote all company safety policies and procedures. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with MSDS, Lockout/Tagout programs, and all relevant safety protocols.Ensure that all products meet company standards and client requirements. Conduct required quality inspections and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.Assist in setting up the press, maintaining high production efficiencies, and feeding stock during press runs. Operate the continuous feeder efficiently and make necessary adjustments based on stock size.Participate actively in the maintenance and cleanliness of the press and surrounding area. Perform wash-ups during changeovers or end-of-shift, including cleaning impression cylinders, blanket wash blades, and other components.Stage materials and supplies needed for printing jobs. Deliver equipment components such as plates to the press for installation and recycle old/discarded plates.Work closely with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance. Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Clean the area prior to the next shift starting and perform all required preventative maintenance. Ensure smooth transitions by communicating effectively with incoming shift personnel.Complete any other job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor, maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a press feeder in a manufacturing or production environment.Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials.Strong personal integrity and ability to interact with all organizational levels.Capability to follow instructions for operation and maintenance tasks.High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities.Physical Requirements
Correctable eyesight to 20/20 for operating equipment.Adequate visual acuity and normal color perception for job duties.Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and stoop for up to 12 hours per day.Regular ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 65 pounds.Consistent attendance and ability to adapt to fluctuating temperatures and loud noise environments.
