The role of an International Tax Senior Manager is to provide tax and consulting services for multinational businesses. The role involves researching and analyzing tax treaties, developing repatriation strategies, structuring international operations, and complying with U.S. reporting of international activities. Tasks will include business development, leading a specialty tax team, researching and identifying tax issues, and providing solutions to complex customer matters. In addition, the International Tax Senior Manager will delegate and manage tax assignments and perform administrative duties, as needed. The International Tax Senior Manager is responsible for training, supporting, supervising, motivating, and reviewing the work of their team. ResponsibilitiesAdvising customers on outbound and inbound tax planning and structuringResearching and consulting on complex international tax mattersReviewing International information reporting forms, including but not limited to Form(s) 114, 926, 5471, 5472, 1118/1116, 8858, 8865, and 8938Assist multinational businesses with income tax accounting reporting within their financial statementsManaging key financial performance indicators across the practice/service units that you leadDeveloping and growing a business network with colleagues, referral relationships, potential customers, and external organizations to attract new businessHolding yourself and others accountable for business development and productivity goalsRecruiting, developing, and motivating team members, creating pools of ready-now leadersContributing to and communicating, openly and frequently, on both practice and firm strategy, goals, and best practicesSetting and achieving stretch goals on a periodic basis that increases your value and contribution to the organization and the customers that you serveRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Law; Master's degree in Tax/LLM in Tax, preferred10+ years of recent accounting firm experience, including focus on U.S. international information reportingCPA certification requiredWorking knowledge of inbound and outbound structure planning, foreign tax credits, and world-wide tax minimizationExperience with corporate tax accounting, ASC 740, preferredAbility to manage and grow strong customer relationships
